The vines of La Fresnaye have the particularity of being located on a vein of limestone resting on the shale base typical of Anjou Noir. It is therefore quite rare to find Cabernet Franc on such a typology. The chenins in this plot are almost forty years old, enough to have developed a good root system that feeds on the pebble. In the end, the wine is both greedy, with a beautiful aromatic expression of the fruit, and tense, mineral, with a well-tracing mouth.
