“Hommage à Louis Derré” is a cuvée made from old vines of Pineau d’Aunis (80-100 years old). Very small yields, a maceration of one month in vats, make it possible to extract a wine of great concentration, with a strong expression of the terroir. It is a singular wine. The nose with mixed scents of peony, tobacco, pepper and plum is bewitching. The palate is tonic, with a luminous attack, a full-bodied body with present but fine tannins. The finish is mineral, almost chalky. This blend will melt over time to give a wine that is certainly of the highest order.
It is a wine that will evolve over 10 to 15 years.

Terroir: Clay and siliceous clay with flint on tufa. The presence of strong clays is preferred for red terroirs.
Ageing: 12 months in barrels of 3 to 5 wines.
