The 2007 Bourgueil Busardières from Domaine de la Chevalerie is one of the best wines of the vintage in the region. Made from mid-slope Cabernet Franc vines on clay-limestone and tuff soils, this cuvée is astonishing for its richness and its spicy notes of great complexity. The palate is very full, greedy and full, and very long. The masterful balance of this wine will allow it to age happily over 15 years.
Bettane & Desseauve guide commentary:
The limestone side of the terroir stands out particularly in this vintage, worthy of all truffle preparations. It can be considered on a veal chop with a black diamond.Rating: 17.0
